Peer Review Process
PEER REVIEW PROCESS
- The editor will examine and evaluate the submitted manuscript regarding focus and scope, suitability to the manuscript template, readability, and level of plagiarism.
- The section editor will send manuscripts that meet this requirement to at least one reviewer with a double-blind review (without the author's identity). If it does not match the competence, the reviewer has the right to reject the manuscript and recommend another more competent reviewer.
- The reviewer will review the manuscript from the aspect of quality and substance of the writing, including its novelty, originality, usefulness, and validity of citations and bibliography.
- The acceptance or rejection of the manuscript will be decided by the editor based on the review results given by the reviewer.
- The approved manuscript will proceed to the copyediting and layout editing stages.
PEER REVIEW POLICIES
Scientax: Jurnal Kajian Ilmiah Perpajakan Indonesia utilizes an online submission and review system for the assessment of all submitted articles. The peer review process is fundamental to maintaining the quality and integrity of the journal. This Peer Review Policy outlines the key principles and procedures governing the peer review process at Scientax.
Selection of Papers
The Scientax Editorial Board is responsible for ensuring the fairness and timeliness of the peer-review process. Manuscripts will be selected for review based on the following criteria:
- Scientific quality of the content.
- Relevance of the topic to the focus and scope of Scientax: Jurnal Kajian Ilmiah Perpajakan Indonesia.
Selection of Reviewers
Reviewers will be selected by the editor based on their expertise in the subject matter. The editor will also evaluate potential conflicts of interest disclosed by reviewers to minimize bias.
- Research articles will typically be reviewed by at least two independent reviewers.
- In cases where additional expertise is required, a third reviewer may be sought.
The editor will adhere to best practices provided by the Publisher to prevent the selection of fraudulent peer reviewers.
Review Process and Transparency
The peer-review process will evaluate various aspects of submitted articles, including novelty, objectivity, methodology, scientific impact, conclusions, and references. Reviewers' comments will be communicated to the corresponding author, who will have the opportunity to address them. The editor will evaluate reviewer comments and make a final decision regarding the submission based on reviewer recommendations.
All communication between the editor, authors, and reviewers will occur through the electronic submission system. Additionally, the journal employs plagiarism screening using Crossref Similarity Check powered by iThenticate.
Confidentiality
Scientax: Jurnal Kajian Ilmiah Perpajakan Indonesia is committed to maintaining the confidentiality of all submitted materials and communications with reviewers. The double-blind review method will be employed to ensure that reviewers are unaware of the authors' identities and vice versa.
Disclosure and Conflicts of Interest
The editor will adhere to the journal's policies regarding the disclosure of conflicts of interest by authors and reviewers.
Authors and reviewers will receive guidance and support from the editor throughout the publication process.
