The DGT Taxation Call for Paper 2024
I. General
The DGT Taxation Call for Paper 2024 organized by the DGT (Directorate General of Taxes), Ministry of Finance, is an event inviting researchers to submit their manuscript. Submitted manuscripts will be selected for presentation at the DGT's taxation scientific seminar. Participants have the opportunity to compete for the best papers award and prizes. Selected manuscripts will be further processed for publication in the "Scientax: Journal of Scientific Studies on Indonesian Taxation" or "Scientax" (journal website: ejurnal.pajak.go.id), published by the DGT.
The DGT Taxation Call for Paper 2024 aims to:
- Expand the functions of the “Program Inklusi Kesadaran Pajak” as part of tax education duties;
- Build a research environment on taxation themes;
- Provide a platform for researchers and academics to contribute insights on the development of tax policies;
- Obtain scientific studies to enhance the governance of Indonesian taxation; and
- Publish taxation journals based on the seminar results, managed by the DGT and serving as a knowledge-based research center (research bank) for documentation in decision-making and contributions to academia.
II. Theme
The theme of The DGT Taxation Call for Paper 2024 is "Taxation Towards an Advanced Economy in the Era of Digital Innovation and Global Fragmentation."
III. Subthemes
The subthemes of The DGT Taxation Call for Paper 2024 include:
- Tax Compliance;
- Tax Regulation;
- Information and Technologyof Taxation;
- Human Resources and Organization;
- Tax Education and Dissemination;
- Tax Services;
- Law Enforcement of Taxation;
- Business Process of Taxation; and
- International Taxation.
Under these subthemes, preferred topics may include:
- Tax reform to increase the tax ratio amid global economic uncertainty;
- Tax reform aligned with economic development;
- Tax strategies for economic growth;
- Digital innovation in tax transformation;
- Evaluation of the New Core Tax Administration System;
- Taxation in relation to green economy and energy transition;
- Taxation related to global fragmentation;
- Utilization of open data for taxation purposes;
- Enhancing tax compliance and sustainability for Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) as a pillar of economic improvement;
- Increasing the participation of the younger generation in contributing to tax revenue;
- Cooperative Compliance Program (CCP);
- Preparing an adaptive and high-performance fiscal system;
- Organizational change management for digital transformation;
- Effectiveness and efficiency of legal efforts in taxation; and
- Other relevant topics.
IV. General Guidelines
General regulations for writing manuscripts for The DGT Taxation Call for Paper 2024 are as follows:
- Manuscripts are the result of research, study, or scientific review on taxation aspects which have never been published in other publication media;
- Manuscripts are written in English or Indonesian. Accepted manuscripts in Indoenesia must be presented and converted in Engliash (for conference purpose later);
- Manuscripts are written 10-20 pages, including references and appendice;
- In-text citations and references follow the American Psychological Association (APA) writing style;
- Manuscripts are written using template that has been provided by the organizer. The file can be downloaded in ejurnal.pjaka.go.id or https://linktr.ee/taxcfp2024;
- The file is submitted in a Microsoft Word files (.docx or RTF);
- Manuscripts must be submitted by no later than June 30, 2024, at 23:59 (Jakarta Time).

VI. Registration and Submission Procedure
Participation open for Indonesian citizens and foreigners. Participants must register through the registration form at https://linktr.ee/taxcfp2024. Participants must submit a statement of authorship using the template available at https://linktr.ee/taxcfp2024. Participants must submit the scientific paper and the statement via the submission form at https://linktr.ee/taxcfp2024. Participants are allowed to submit more than one manuscripts.
VII. Taxation Scientific Seminar
Participants with selected manuscripts will have the opportunity to attend the DGT's taxation scientific seminar and present their works in English during parallel sessions seminar. Presentation materials will be in English slides. Participants with selected manuscripts must proceed with the publication process in the "Scientax: Journal of Scientific Studies on Indonesian Taxation" and commit to following the publication process to completion. Further technical details regarding the seminar and presentation will be communicated by the committee later.

Manuscripts assessment : 16 July 2024–26 September 2024
Announcement for 35 Best Paper : 11 October 2024
Opening Ceremony and Parallel Session : 29 October 2024

The Final Session and The DGT International Tax Conference : 6 November 2024
Winner Announcement : 6 November 2024
